Randi Tveitaraas Jack manages the Department’s International Business Recruitment Program and also serves as the assistant director of the International Trade Development Division. In her 22 years with the state, she has worked with companies in Europe, Asia and Canada in key industry sectors including wind energy, aviation, and bioscience. Successful site location projects include Siemens Wind Energy (Germany), CEVA Biomune (France), IdentiGEN (Ireland), Sonaca NMF (Belgium), and Gunze (Japan).
Prior to joining the Agency in 1988, Randi worked in international marketing at Storage Technology Corporation, a computer peripherals manufacturer based in Colorado. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Colorado State University and a Master of International Business Administration from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. She is a graduate of the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma and has also studied at the University of Madrid in Spain. |

The Kansas China Office, located in Beijing, provides assistance to companies interested in learning about the benefits of establishing their U.S. operations in Kansas. Mr. Zhao Yi (Karl) has represented the state of Kansas since August 2005. He has previous experience representing the state of New Jersey. Mr. Zhao moved to Chicago from China in early 1994 to establish a trade company for Jilin Province. In 1998, he relocated to Washington, D.C. to manage programs for Chinese missions to the U.S., covering the areas of business development, management training and cultural exchanges until returning to China in 2002. |
